UNICHROME – C : Yellow Chromatizing process is an excellent pre-treatment for Aluminium and its” alloys, by dip / Spray processes. The treatment deposits a uniform, amorphous, rainbow to yellowish brown, Chromate conversion Coating, and the intensity & the coating thickness depends upon the immersion period, Composition of the metals etc. The chromate conversion Coating offers excellent corrosion resistance ( more than 100 Hrs on a 5 % Sodium Chloride Salt-Spray Test ), & an enhanced bonding with the Paints / powder coatings / Organic coatings deposited on the metal.
The chromatized components are then oven dried / Air-dried & Painted preferably within 24 hrs. In the case of Aluminium Alloys; it is recommended to give a 5 minutes dip in a 5 % solution of activator solution for the removal of the Oxide scales and the rust spots. Unichrome-C is used at a concentration of 2.5 – 5 % W / V, for a dipping period of 5 - 10 min. at room temp. Periodic checking of TA / FA is recommended. Water rinsing & drying after chromatizing shall be done.
UNICHROME – P : Green Phosphate-Chromate process is an excellent pre-treatment for Aluminium & its” alloys, by dipping processes. This treatment leaves on the aluminium metal substrate very uniform, lustrous Green phosphate -Chromate Coating. The colour intensity & the coating thickness shall depends upon the bath concentration, immersion period, Composition of the metals etc. The Phosphate-chromate conversion Coating offers excellent corrosion resistance ( more than 250 Hrs on a 5 % Sodium Chloride Salt-Spray Test ) and added bonding with the Paints , Powder Coatings & Organic coatings deposited on the metal. The treated components are then immediately oven dried / forced Air dried & Painted preferably within 24 hrs. In the case of Aluminium Alloys; it is recommended to give a 5 minutes dip in a 5 % solution of activator solution for the removal of the Oxide scales and the rust spots. Unichrome - P is used at a concn of 5 % V/V, for a dipping period of 8- 10 min. at room temp. Periodic checking of TA / FA is recommended. Water rinsing & drying after chromatizing shall be done.
