CHLORITEN is a liquid & the percentage of Available Chlorine ranges from 7 % to 9 % depending upon the process requirements. CHLORITEN is a highly alkaline, Pale Yellow liquid, having strong smell of Chlorine. It is Non-Flammable, Non Toxic and Non-hazardous. It has a property of undergoing Photo-chemical Decomposition and hence shall be stored in closed jars, away from Sunlight. CHLORITEN stable for 60-90 days under recommended conditions of storage .
CYANIDE NEUTRALIZATION PROCESS: The complete Neutralization of Cyanide is carried out at a pH 10+;
and by addition of calculated quantities of CHLORITEN ; and allowing to react for 2 to 3 Hrs. Simple Cyanide are totally destructed within 30 Min; whereas Complex Cyanides and Organic Cyno complexes take (1) Higher dose of CHLORITEN and (2) extra neutralization time. These factors vary from complex to complex, and batch to batch, and need to be determined at the users plant. Air Oxidation by blowing compressed air helps total churning and result in faster neutralization reactions. The process sequences shall be followed as under:
